An apparatus for cleaning contact lens includes a lens cleaning case having a base and a cover pivotally mounted to the base. The base is provided with two spaced-apart domed lower cleaning pad receptacles. A cleaning pad motion plate is provided with a pair of defined upper cleaning pad receptacles adapted to be concentrically aligned with the lower receptacles when the motion plate is situated between the lower receptacles and the top of the cover. Cleaning pads having cleaning surfaces and spaced-apart handling surfaces are installed on each of the receptacles so that the cleaning surfaces of the lower pads. A stanchion or boss extends upwardly from the motion plate through a provided hole in the cover. The cleaning pads are absorbent and are impregnated with a suitable cleaning fluid. Lenses to be cleaned are placed on the top of each of the lower cleaning pads, the upper cleaning pads are placed on top of the lenses and lower pads, and the cover is closed. The motion plate boss is manually moved in a figure of eight pattern to clean both lenses.
