<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector capable of preventing a retaining member from coming off from an insulator. <P>SOLUTION: The electric connector includes an insulator containing a housing space and an engagement part formed at either side wall of the housing space, a conductive terminal mounted on the insulator, a retaining member fitted to the insulator and including a body part, a tongue piece formed so as to be extended from the body part to the housing space, and a pair of engagement arms formed so as to be extended in an extension direction of the tongue piece from either end part of the body, and a holder firmly fixed to the insulator. The holder is provided with a locking piece engaged with and covering the engagement part of the insulator, and the engagement arms of the retaining member get engaged with the locking piece as well as with the engagement part of the insulator, whereby, the retaining member is prevented from coming off from the insulator when the former is in an open state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
