PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal displacement correcting device capable of setting a correction amount for canceling thermal displacement in the axial direction of a spindle of a tool mounted to the spindle of a machine tool with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This thermal displacement correcting device 1 includes: a tool temperature estimating part 14 for recognizing a temperature immediately after the use of a corresponding tool based upon identification data obtained from a control device 22 for specifying a tool as a replacement object among tools stored in a tool magazine of a tool exchanger 33, and performing the processing of estimating the tool temperature before use based upon the recognized tool temperature immediately after the use and an elapsed time from the preceding use of the tool corresponding to the identification data, and the processing of estimating the tool temperature in the process of working based upon the estimated tool temperature immediately before the use and the temperature of the spindle; a correction amount setting part 16 for estimating the thermal displacement amount in the axial direction of the spindle of the tool based upon the estimated tool temperature in the process of working; and a correction performing part 17 for performing the correction based upon the preset correction amount.
