PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the work of uploading image data files from a plurality of digital cameras to one server. SOLUTION: The image data files uploaded from the plurality of digital cameras are temporarily stored in different directories, respectively. The image data files stored in the respective different directories are moved to the same directory. When the image data files are moved, whether image data files of the same file name are present or not is determined, and when it is determined that image data files with the same file name are present, names of all the image data files are changed. The file names after change, which are obtained by combining photographing date information preliminarily incorporated in the image data files and unique identification information of the digital cameras, are never overlapped.
