PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high-speed driving by constituting a processor capable of adjusting lighting speed of a backlight of R G, and B to divide a screen and by lighting a light source for each division so that a slow response speed of liquid crystal is compensated. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device of a time dividing system is developed, which utilizes a high-speed response liquid crystal and the backlight having high-speed R, G, and B three color light sources without color filter. In such a liquid crystal display device of a time dividing system, although the color image is conventionally displayed by a system for sequentially lighting the R, G, and B light sources of the backlight for one frame, in the liquid crystal display device of the time dividing system according to the present invention, the lighting speed of each of the R, G, and B light sources of the backlight is converted through an image processing processor to constitute a frame period of subframes for each quarter so that momentary luminance of a specific color is enhanced in the fourth subframe.
