PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for a valve timing adjusting device capable of being easily installed on a center part of a camshaft. SOLUTION: A large diameter part 12a larger than the largest diameter of a cam mounted on the cam shaft 12 is formed on an axial center part of the camshaft 12. A vane rotor 16 of the valve timing adjusting device 10 is concentrically mounted on the large diameter part 12a, and is fastened and fixed by a fixing nut 30 and a junction part 25 by fastening the fixing nut 30 abutting on a junction part 25 formed on the camshaft 12 and threadedly engaging with the large diameter part 12a of the vane rotor 16.
