PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical multistory parking device capable of reducing a monitoring burden of a user when moving a pallet. SOLUTION: This parking device 1 has the pallets 11, 12, 13, 15 and 17 for placing vehicles C, a pallet driving motor 61 for lifting and/or traversing the pallets 11, 12, 13, 15 and 17, an inclination sensor 70 for detecting an inclination of the liftable pallets 11, 12, 13 and 15, a general control part 37 for controlling the pallet driving motor 61, a transmitter 72 and a receiver 74 for transmitting a detecting signal of the inclination sensor 70 to the general control part 37. The general control part 37 stops the movement of the pallets by stopping operation of the pallet driving motor 61 when an inclination of any pallet detected by the inclination sensor 70 is larger than a predetermined value.
