The cylindrical armature is provided with an annular disc-shaped closure element (33) on its underside (32) cooperating with an annular seating (35) at the inlet (25) to a pressure control chamber. It is movable by energisation of the coil (30) against a restoring spring (36), whose force is reduced by the contribution from a surface of the armature not exposed to air pressure when the valve (34) is closed. USE/ADVANTAGE - As pressure control, relay or proportional valve, device requires relatively low power with reduced air pressure on armature in closed position.
