FLUID FLOW MONITORING METHOD

The invention comprises a method of monitoring a flowing fluid which may be a multi-phase oil/gas/water mixture flowing through an oil separator. The method comprises adding a radioactive tracer to the fluid and detecting the radiation using one or more radiation detectors immersed in the fluid. In a preferred form, the detectors form part of a density profiling apparatus.
