The winch drum (14) is an injection molding, made from carbon-reinforced plastic (CRP). Other parts, including the supporting body, base (12), a gear carrier, the head ring (25), head (21) and rope guide (30), are also made from injection molded CRP. The drum carries profiles (17) running axially along it, or slightly inclined with respect to the axis. These are partially embedded in the CRP. They are partially over-molded in the injection process, and comprise rods of stainless steel.
