It is intended to realize dissolution or dispersion of a fluoropolyether in a solvent having no affinity with the fluoropolyether, for example, a polar solvent and also realize uniform loading to a resin with poor compatibility with the fluoropolyether. There is provided a clathrate compound comprising a molecule of host compound, such as cyclodextrin, having a cyclic structure or spiral structure and having inside the structure a hydrophobic group and, enclosed therein, a fluoropolyether molecule as a guest compound.
