<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system, capable of ensuring privacy in a settlement. <P>SOLUTION: When seller authentication is requested from a seller terminal 11, an authentication server 1 authenticates a seller. When transaction ID issuing is requested from the seller terminal 11, the transaction management server 2 reports a transaction ID to the seller terminal 11. The seller terminal 11 reports transaction information including the transaction ID and a transaction price to a buyer terminal 12. When buyer authentication is requested from the buyer terminal 12, the authentication server 1 authenticates a buyer. When the buyer requests verification of the transaction ID of the buyer terminal 12, the transaction management server 2 verifies the transaction ID of the buyer terminal 12. When settlement is requested from the buyer terminal 12, a settlement server 3 requests reference of transaction ID relevant information to the transaction management server 2, and when the transaction ID relevant information is reported from the transaction management server 2, real-time settlement is performed in a financial institution 4 through the settlement server 3.
