<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card issuing system capable of adding a biometrics authentication function to an IC card at an issuer's counter or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A customer data management server 3 generates an authentication code on the basis of application data acquired from a user who desires the issue of an IC card 1 and the transmits the generated authentication code to the user. Before issuing the IC card 1, an IC card issuing terminal 2 inquires the user's authentication code of the customer data management server 3 as one of person himself/herself confirmation, authenticates the authentication code, and allows the issue of the IC card 1 only when the authentication of the authentication code is successful. When issuing the IC card 1, the IC card issuing terminal 2 loads a fingerprint authentication application acquired from a data server 4 to the IC card 1 and subsequently writes the user's fingerprint information read by a fingerprint information reading means 21 in the IC card 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
