PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the level of the focus detecting signal in a solid-state imaging apparatus having a focus detection signal generating function. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus has imaging pixels and focus detecting pixels. The plurality of imaging pixels are disposed on an imaging face. The imaging pixels photo-electrically convert a received luminous flux per pixel and generates an image signal. The focus detecting pixels are disposed in the group of imaging pixels. The focus detecting pixels pupil-split the received luminous flux and photo-electrically convert it, thereby generating a focus detecting signal.
