PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strike allowing a signal recognition means in an electric lock to recognize a door closing signal even with a certain degree of clearance formed when closing a door. SOLUTION: A sliding plate 19 having a plurality of obliquely hollowed oblong holes, tumblers A15, B17 converting the projecting and receding motion of a trigger 8 into reciprocating motion of the sliding plate 19, and a movable box 14 having a plurality of projections 21 engaged with the oblong holes of the sliding plate 19, are enclosed inside a strike box. When the trigger 8 abuts on the front face of the door and recedes into the strike box in closing the door, the movable box 14 projects toward the front face of the door from an opening of a receiving member to fill the clearance.
