PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high uniformity and reliability of characteristics inside a display panel such as a plasma display panel at low cost, high throughput, and high yield. SOLUTION: Two sheets of substrates are bonded with a gap around them with frit glass heated and softened at a temperature higher than a softening point, and after an inside of a panel is drained at high conductance with the frit glass hardened at a temperature lower than the softening point, the frit glass is again heated and softened at a temperature higher than the softening point to tightly adhere the surrounding of the two sheets of substrates. With this, high uniformity and reliability of characteristics inside the panel is realized at low cost, high throughput, and high yield. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
