PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intramedullary nail used within the medullary canal of the long bone. SOLUTION: The nail includes a main unit defining a longitudinal axis and a peripheral section fitted to the medullary canal of the long bone. The main unit has a first inner wall defining a first opening penetrating the main unit, and the first opening defines a center line of the first opening. In addition, the main unit has a second inner wall defining a second opening penetrating the main unit, and the second opening defines a center line of the second opening. The center lines of the first and second openings are diagonal with each other. At least one of the center lines of the first and second openings crosses the longitudinal axis of the main unit.
