PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travelling method and device which is capable of allowing a person with disability to perform social participation without being hindered by stairs and a step in a life space or a groove, a slope, and other three-dimensional interference on a pavement, by adding a new mechanism to a wheelchair having a conventional mechanism. SOLUTION: The whole motions of the wheelchair are driven by a motor as a driving means spread into modern society concerning conventionally considered wheelchair technology. Accordingly, an apparatus for attaining desired complicated motions and outputting a high output is enlarged, so that the wheelchair to be a tool comes to be like an automobile. Thus, the travelling method and the device are obtained, by which the stairs and the interference on the pavement are passed over with hydraulic operation force so as to correspond to the desired motions and power by arranging five cylinders to be hydraulically operated at each side as the new driving means and arranging two travelling arms with a timing belt respectively in front and rear parts.
