<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-incident part of a light guide plate for a backlight unit and its processing method with intensity for its whole surface improved and capable of uniformizing its brightness, by processing both corners of the light-incident part into an obtuse angle, circle, or curve to lessen the interference phenomenon and the convergence phenomenon of light coming out of a light-emitting source and a light-emitting source cover, and by minimizing emission lines and dark lines generated at the light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: By processing either of both the corners of the light-incident part of the light guide plate from an obtuse angle, one of the emission lines can be eliminated, and by processing the other corner of the light-incident part from a curve that does not have an angle, an interference volume of light is alleviated; and since light can be dispersed as in the case of an obtuse angle, so that possible emission lines and dark lines that are likely to be generated in the vicinity of the light-incident part can be removed, a screen having uniform brightness can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
