PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration-damping resin material(composition) excellent in vibration-damping properties, mechanical properties and thermal stability in its molding, and favorable in an environmental viewpoint as well with high flame retardancy without using any halogen compound and antimony compound. SOLUTION: The vibration-damping resin composition comprises a resin component consisting of (a) a polyphenylene ether resin (and (b) a styrene-based resin), (c) a hydrogenated copolymer composed of hydrogenated random copolymer blocks obtained by hydrogenating random copolymer blocks consisting of conjugated diene monomer units and vinyl aromatic monomer units, conjugated diene monomer units having coupling structure and vinyl aromatic monomer units, and (d) a phosphorus-based flame retardant.
