摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energization method which can largely shorten a current-passing period of time in electrodeposition coating. SOLUTION: The energization method in the electrodeposition coating is a method of passing a current between an electrode of a paint tank and an object to be painted immersed in the paint tank, under applied voltage for a necessary period of time for the electrodeposition coating. The method comprises: previously determining several voltage values between an initial minimum value and a maximum value for the applied voltage so as to sequentially increase; at the same time, presetting an energization period after an applied voltage increases and before it arrives at several voltage values which increase according to a determined order, and an energization period of keeping the voltage constant at the arrival voltage value for a short time, respectively; and passing the current while increasing the applied voltage stepwise to the respective set values between the initial minimum value and the final maximum value, according to a control based on the set energization period while the applied voltage increases and the set energization period of keeping the voltage constant.
