SOLUTION: In a carbon fiber producing method for producing carbon fibers by a flowing catalyst method, the carbon fibers are produced by allowing a component of a reaction gas to act on catalyst particles flowing in a bent reaction path while allowing the reaction gas to flow in one direction through the bent reaction path by the pressure of a viscous flow region.
