PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent impressions from being marked on recording media stacked on a tray or damage such as fold or seam from being given thereto. SOLUTION: A sorter 50 has the tray 146 in a double hollow structure to thereby secure the strength of the tray and provide a flat surface with no reinforcing rib on the rear surface of the stacking face of the tray.
