PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of preventing moisture from being trapped in a scroll part of a casing and preventing water from unintentionally leaking out of the inside of the casing to the inside of a cabin. SOLUTION: A drip hole 13 to discharge water in the scroll part 8 is formed at the inner wall lower side of the scroll part 8 of the casing 1, and a plurality of prevention walls 16, 17 etc. to prevent the backflow of water from an evaporator 9 side are provided at a lower part in the casing 1. By this structure, even if powder snow enters the scroll part 8 of the casing 1 or the moisture in air is condensed, water in the scroll part 8 is discharged from a drip hole 13 at the inner wall lower side of the scroll part 8. Moreover, at the abrupt braking of the vehicle, water flowing back from the evaporator 9 side is stopped by the prevention walls 16, 17 etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
