PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leg body of furniture which enables the stable supporting of a load from the upper part of a leg by minimizing the deflection against a large load from above without increasing the upper and lower dimensions of the leg as a whole. SOLUTION: The leg body of furniture is constituted of a leg member 21 turning longitudinally and a post mounted on the leg member 21. A rib 30 which sticks out downward from the undersurface 21d of the leg member 21 with a protrusion dimension gradually increasing hangs down on the leg member 21 toward its central part where the post 3 is mounted from its tip toe part 21a longitudinally almost over the entire range.
