PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of shortening response time when switching a channel. SOLUTION: An ECM/EMM transmission module 290 generates a communication packet for which channel information is added to an ECM/EMM extracted from broadcast waves and transmits it to other receivers. An ECM/EMM reception module 390 receives the communication packet and stores the ECM/EMM together with the channel information. Receivers A100 and C130 descramble the broadcast waves of the channel of a switching object by using the ECM/EMM stored by the ECM/EMM reception module 390 when switching the channel.
