<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sales promotion system that does not increase the operator's operation burden while providing a sales promotion method according to various situations. <P>SOLUTION: A server of the sales promotion system 1 comprises a data acquiring section 210, a selection section 211, and an information creating section 212. The data acquiring section 210 creates and updates article information 253 based on input information transmitted from an operating section 27 and sale information 240 acquired from a POS device 4 via a communication section 29. The selection section 211 selects a recommended article and a medium article based on the article information 253, and creates and updates article information 253. The information creating section 212 creates medium article information 241 based on the article information 253 according to a demand from a label printer 3.
