PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture solution and a cell culture method that can simply improve the conventional culture technique that causes the phenomena of adsorption of protein or adhesion of cells caused by the hydrophobic mutual interaction between the base material surfaces and the attachment of protein culture of immune cells or stem cells. SOLUTION: The cell culture solution is prepared by adding a water-soluble synthetic polymer bearing a functional group of hydrophilic property wherein the functional group having affinity to water is hydroxy group and/or ether group, and the cell culture solution includes more than 50 units having functional groups having affinity to water in the water-soluble synthetic polymer; and the method for cell culture uses the cell culture solution.
