PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more sensitive and specific antibody for diagnosing various types of cancers in an early stage and to provide a new method for diagnosis. SOLUTION: Selected cancers including gynecologic cancers such as ovarian cancer, breast cancer, endometrial cancer and/or uterine cancer and lung cancer without limitation are detected, diagnosed, monitored, staged, prognosticated, in vivo imaged and treated through detection of CSGs (cancer specific genes). Nine CSGs are identified and referred to especially native proteins expressed by a gene containing a specific polynucleotide sequence. Other CSG fragments can be detected. An antibody against the CGSs usable for detecting or imaging localization of the CSGs in a patient or fragments of the antibody are provided.
