OPTICAL FIBER CUTTING BLADE, AND OPTICAL FIBER CUTTING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cutting blade, a device and a method that make stable operation possible even in darkness and that enable a superior optical fiber cut end to be obtained without depending on an operator's skill. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cutting blade has a resin-made blade molded integrally with a base made of the resin material. The blade has an angle in the range of 10-45°at the tip point of the blade. It is characterized by the resin material which is composed of an epoxy based containing≥60% glass filler or PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) based synthetic resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
