Thereby, the stagnation of shift control is prevented. Further, when a passing time from a time when the determination of inertia phase starting is performed (time t<SB>3</SB>) exceeds a forced finishing determination time<SB>guardon</SB>(time t<SB>5</SB>), since the shift action is forcedly finished, the durability of a frictional engagement device can be ensured.
