PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral type gasket provided with a filler material having sufficient strength and flexibility and capable of exhibiting sufficient sealing property even if it is used under a high temperature oxidation atmosphere. SOLUTION: In the spiral type gasket provided with a gasket body formed by superposing and winding the filler material and a hoop material in a spiral shape, in the filler material, mica pieces are superposed and a ratio of the mica pieces in which (i) average thickness of the mica pieces is 1.0-3.0μm and (ii) thickness is 4.0μm or less is 90% or more of the total number.
