AC TYPE PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC type plasma display panel capable of improving luminous efficiency without decreasing brightness of display. SOLUTION: Scanning electrodes 2 and sustaining electrodes 3 covered by a dielectric layer 4 are provided on a first substrate 1, and a protection layer 15 is provided on the dielectric layer 4. A plurality each of data electrodes 9 and barrier walls 8 arranged orthogonal with the scanning electrodes 2 and the sustaining electrodes 3 are provided on a second substrate 7 facing the first substrate 1 through a discharge space 6. The protection layer 15 is composed of a first protection film 15a and a second protection film 15b, the former 15a formed nearly on a whole surface of the dielectric layer 4, and the latter 15b partially forming MgO with a higher secondary electron emission coefficient than the former 15a is provided on the former 15a.
