SOLUTION: Inside the user information recording area 26 of an L1layer for final recording in the rewritable optical recording medium 10, a management information recordable area 28 for recording management information for user information is provided to record the management information not in an L0layer 18 where heat in recording is accumulated easily but in a management information recordable area 28 of an L1layer 14.
