An optical film, which comprises: a transparent support; and a light-diffusing layer containing: at least one kind of resin particles having a particle size of from 0.5 mum to 5 mum; and a binder matrix, wherein the resin particles having a compressive strength of from 2 to 10 kgf/mm²; an anti-reflection film; a polarizing plate; and an image display device using the optical film.
