Method involves validation of signal of temperature sensor (5) with signal of lambda probe section (10) on a preset connection. The temperature sensor and the lambda probe section are provided in exhaust tract (15) of the internal-combustion engine (1). An independent claim is also included for the device for operation of internal-combustion engine.
