摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an exposure apparatus and to improve the layout latitude of other devices to be disposed around an exposure object. <P>SOLUTION: An angle &alpha;1 (center angle of an arc) is formed between straight lines connecting the axial center G of a photoreceptor drum 12 and ends in both sides in a width direction of an LED head 100. The smaller the angle &alpha;1 is, layout of various devices around the photoreceptor drum 12 becomes the more easily (including a charging device 14, a developing device 16, a transfer device 18, a cleaning device 20 and a destaticizing device 22 in an embodiment). That is, the latitude for design is increased. A second substrate 170 is disposed almost parallel to a first substrate 150 leaving a gap therebetween. Even when the angle &alpha;1 is small, the second substrate 170 can be made wider than the first substrate 150.
