<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic composition which has excellent piezoelectric characteristics and is excellent in the electric resistance at high temperature even if it is fired in a reducing atmosphere at low temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic composition contains, as a main component, a composite oxide expressed by formula: (Pb<SB>a-b</SB>Me<SB>b</SB>)[(Zn<SB>1/3</SB>Nb<SB>2/3</SB>)<SB>x</SB>Ti<SB>y</SB>Zr<SB>z</SB>]O<SB>3</SB>(wherein, 0.96≤a≤1.03; 0≤b≤0.1; 0.05≤x≤0.15; 0.25≤y≤0.5; 0.35≤z≤0.6; x+y+z=1; and Me is at least one kind selected from Sr, Ca, and Ba), and further contains at least one kind of components expressed by CuO<SB>α</SB>(α≥0) in an amount of ≤3 mass% expressed in terms of CuO, a rare earth metal element in an amount of ≤0.8 mass% expressed in terms of oxide, Pb in an amount of ≤2 mass% expressed in terms of PbO, and Zn in an amount of ≤2 mass% expressed in terms of ZnO, each amount being based on the main component. The piezoelectric ceramic composition is suitable for piezoelectric layers 11 of a laminated piezoelectric element 1 using Cu as internal electrode layers 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
