<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer film without developing a sheet trouble such as bleedout and having a high ratio of Rth to Re, and to provide a liquid crystal display device that incorporates a polarizing plate composed of the polymer film, and has a wide visual field angle and high display quality. <P>SOLUTION: This polymer film comprises a particulate of an organic compound that contains a retardation developing agent of an average particle size of ≥1 nm and ≤1,000 nm. The method for producing polymer film comprises steps of casting a dope containing the polymer, a solvent for the polymer and the retardation developing agent, etc., on a substrate, stripping it from the substrate and drying it, in which the retardation developing agent is homogeneously dissolved in the dope, and during from the casting to an elongation step, the particulate of the organic compound containing the retardation developing agent is formed in the film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
