PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and stably replace gas without deteriorating production efficiency so that the flexibility of packaging operation is not damaged in a bag-filling packaging machine in which supplied bags 1 are gripped by pairs of grippers 2, 2 disposed on the periphery of an intermittently turning round table 3, and the bags at stopping positions are successively subjected to prescribed packaging operations with gas in the bags replaced during the process. SOLUTION: A pair of guide members 15, 16 for keeping a bag mouth opened is provided on the table 3 so as to correspond to each of the gripper pairs. The guide members 15, 16 are hollow and the hollow inside parts are connected to an inactive gas supply source and have gas blow-out ports at tips of the guide parts 15c, 16c inserted in the bags.
