<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining a high quality image by restraining image density insufficiency, soiling of base and scattering of toner. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a toner conveyance substrate 1 having a plurality of conveyance electrodes 1b parallelly arranged in a particular direction, and a conveyance power supply circuit 5 outputting pulse voltages applied to the conveyance electrodes 1b. The image forming apparatus conveys toner on the surface of the toner conveyance electrodes 1b toward a developing area opposite to the photoreceptor 25 while hopping them by the application of the pulse voltages applied to the conveyance electrodes 1b, and attaches the hopping toner to a latent image on the photoreceptor in the developing area. The image forming apparatus is provided with: a charged quantity detection means for detecting a charged quantity of toner conveyed on the surface of the toner conveyance substrate 1; and a voltage correction means for correcting the magnitude or frequency of each pulse voltage based on the result of the detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
