PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch the operating current measurement and static current measurement, at a high speed. SOLUTION: The measuring instrument for measuring a current consumed by an electronic device comprises a power source output terminal connected to the electronic device; a power source voltage output part for outputting a power source voltage; a diode switch part, having two diodes connected between the power source output terminal and the power source voltage output part in parallel so that the rectifying direction is mutually reverse, and for flowing the current consumed by the electronic device between the power source output terminal and the power source voltage output part, when the electronic device is operated; a static time drive part for supplying the current consumed by the electronic device to the power source output terminal so as to maintain the voltage of the power source output terminal, at the same voltage as the power source voltage, when the electronic device becomes stationary; and a static time current measurement part for measuring the output current value of the drive part at stationary state.
