<p>The harvested plant parts (2) are guided through a chopping unit (3) to a threshing area (6) in order to remove the grains (12) from the stalk (13). The grain and chaff mix (9) is moved to a cleaning unit (11) where the grains are separated from chaff and stalks. A suction fan (31) is positioned in the rear of the harvester (1) transporting as well as distributing the separated chaff (14) across the ground. The device (31) is fitted with a distributor (47) and a hood (49).</p>
