<p>An image processing system includes: a multiplex resolution decomposition unit (109) for frequency-decomposing a video signal into n-stage high-frequency components and low-frequency components; a correction coefficient calculation unit (111) for calculating at least one of the gradation correction coefficient, the noise correction coefficient, and the edge correction coefficient for a high-frequency component of the decomposition stage i according to the low-frequency components of the decomposition stage quantity i (1 = i = n) and at least one of the visual system adaptable mode, the noise amount estimation model, and the edge emphasis model; a correction processing unit (112) for correcting the high-frequency component according to the calculated correction coefficient; and a multiplex resolution synthesis unit (113) for synthesizing the video signals corrected by the low-frequency component and the corrected high-frequency component.</p> |
