Prints are desired to be folded from single-sided prints at centers into pseudo double-sided prints and which are stereoscopically folded for use after printed. Images are printed, after formed by complicated operations on a host PC, so that an image forming apparatus is desired to improve the conveniences functionally. The image forming apparatus is characterized by comprising decision means for deciding that the print setting to produce prints to be folded is made by a user and whether the prints are to be folded at the upper or lower position, image processing means for switching the turning direction of image data to form the images in accordance with whether the folded position of the prints by the print setting decided by the decision means is upper or lower, and printing means for printing the images produced by the image processing means, on a printing medium.
