PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display panel for which an electrode can be manufactured in a simple process and will in which air bubbles are not formed, while providing a coating material to cover an electrode formed on a flat display panel base plate. SOLUTION: In the flat display panel, surfaces of at least either the maintenance electrodes or address electrodes provided on a front panel and a rear panel and supplied with an electric source for discharging shall have a curvature. Especially, the surfaces of the electrodes will desirably make a continuous curvature. The maintenance electrodes and the address electrodes are formed long in a direction of length but each of the extended directions crosses each other. These electrodes are formed in a process in which electrodes are transferred to the base plate by an electrode mold having electrode forming grooves with electrode shapes.
