PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry ice cleaning apparatus which can prevent dew condensation and freezing in cleaning with dry ice by substituting the inner part of a cleaning room with CO<SB>2</SB>of a few content of water and use CO<SB>2</SB>effectively. SOLUTION: The inner part of the cleaning room 1 is vacuumed by a vacuum pump 12 while a work 2 is thrown into the cleaning room 1 and CO<SB>2</SB>is injected from an injection nozzle 11 to substitute the inner part of the cleaning room 1 with CO<SB>2</SB>. A liquefied CO<SB>2</SB>gas is ejected out from a cleaning nozzle 3 to carry out cleaning of the work 2 by powdered dry ice. After cleaning, CO<SB>2</SB>in the cleaning room 1 is recovered by a recovering apparatus 13 and liquefied by a re-liquefaction apparatus 15 through a filter 14 to be stored in a re-liquefaction cylinder 16. Liquefied CO<SB>2</SB>stored in the re-liquefaction cylinder 16 is reused as a substituting gas and for cleaning. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
