PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning pad designed so sa to have durability and retain satisfactory cleaning capability for a long time, and to provide a charging device having the cleaning pad. SOLUTION: The cleaning pad 10 cleans the charging wire of the charging device while moving in contact with the charging wire. The cleaning pad 10 has cleaning faces CS made by flat by an abrasive material layer 20. The ends of the cleaning faces CS capable of coming into contact with the charging wire W in moving directions M1 and M2 are curved surfaces CSE curving outward.
