PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing toner containing a crystalline polyester resin excellent in low-temperature fixability and having easily controllable heat characteristics and charging characteristics, as a binder resin. SOLUTION: The toner excellent in low-temperature fixability is obtained by prescribing a crystalline polyester resin, wherein a metal salt of a fatty acid is internally added to the toner to thoroughly crystallize the crystalline polyester resin in the toner, whereby the productivity of a rolling step after melt kneading is increased and it is made possible to provide the method for manufacturing a toner by which control of heat characteristics and charging characteristics is easier as compared with a conventional technique.
