Described is a strip of tape for repairing damaged insulation on electrical conductors, the strip of tape consisting of a piece of heat-shrinking film which has on one face, at the two ends, an adhesive strip and which is covered, between these zones, with a heat-sealing adhesive. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing this product. The strip is particularly suitable for use in repairing cables in which the individual core wires cannot be insulated with ordinary insulating tape. |
